Todeschini Cucine.

A joinery near Vicenza that has been building bespoke kitchens for over sixty years. We designed and built the bilingual website, and we still look after it: when the database was lost we restored it, hardened it and brought it back online.

Bespoke A site built to measure, like the kitchens
Before

A company that builds every kitchen in its own workshop, starting from the carcass structures, choosing timbers, stones, lacquers and composites one by one. All of it had to become a website: in two languages, able to convey the level of craftsmanship to someone who has never set foot in the workshop.

After

A bilingual site built to measure, with the finished kitchens, the materials and the workshop at its centre. We look after it over time: when the database was lost we restored it from backup, put the content back in its place and hardened the server.

01 — The client

Sixty years of bespoke kitchens.

Todeschini Arredamenti builds kitchens entirely in its own workshop in Montecchio Precalcino, near Vicenza, starting from the carcass structures: no dimensional constraints, millimetre-level work, and national timber from controlled forests.

A company like this does not sell a catalogue product: it sells a project. The website had to show materials, finishes and craftsmanship with the same care as the workshop — and to do so in English too, because Italian bespoke work travels well abroad.

02 — The project

A website built to measure, like the kitchens.

We built the site around one precise decision: show the material first and the finished product second. Timbers, stones, lacquers and composites each get their own section, because that is where the conversation with the client begins, and the finished kitchens come afterwards, as a consequence.

A serif typeface, large photography, very little copy: the site lets the material speak. A bilingual Italian and English structure from the start, not translated after the fact, and an Elementor build designed so the company can add new work without calling us.

03 — The workshop online

The process, not just the result.

The section devoted to the workshop shows how a kitchen comes into being: carcasses built in-house, door fronts and integrated handles designed around the appliances, internal finishes coordinated with the external materials. It is the part a catalogue cannot hold.

For a craftsman the process is the strongest sales argument there is, and almost nobody puts it online. Visitors understand why a bespoke kitchen costs what it costs before they ever set foot in the workshop.

04 — The incident

When the database disappeared.

At one point the database was lost and the only available backup contained two sets of tables: one belonged to the live site but held no Elementor data, the other was an old staging copy and contained all the built pages.

Restoring that backup as it was would have put an empty site back online. We identified the right set, promoted it to main site, and replaced every internal URL in a serialize-safe way: Elementor stores layouts in serialised strings, and a blind find-and-replace would have corrupted them for good. Then regenerating the CSS, checking page by page, verifying the images.

05 — The method

Back on its feet, and hardened.

Switching a site back on after an incident without closing the doors it came through simply means waiting for the next one. We blocked PHP execution in the uploads folder, protected configuration files and logs, disabled the code editor in the dashboard, changed the admin login address and scheduled automated backups held off the server.

Since then maintenance has been continuous: updates tested before going live, security and performance checks, verified backups. One point of contact, same-day replies, and domain, hosting, code and credentials all in the company's name.
